Board Meeting Minutes
March 10, 2008

Those present: Cindy Beaulieu, Shirley Curdie, Melissa D’Abbraccio, Dorene Tilton, Rose-Marie Welch, Katie Duffey, Eilene Wellington

Meeting called to order.

The minutes of the February monthly meeting were accepted.

Financial Report:

-No Financial report
-Texas Hold ‘Em took in $528
-Katie received a check from the Town of Northfield

Executive Director's Report:

There are 8 who have taken advantage of early summer sign ups.
-The Honor Society will not be holding the Annual Easter Egg Hunt due to the amount of snow.
-We did not receive the grant from Franklin Savings Bank
-All ACB participants are paid up
-Katie purchased a new computer for $825 on credit account. The Executive Director’s laptop was ruined by the leaking roof.
-Northstar leases computers for $102/mo for 2 years, which Katie offered as an option for replacing Brittni’s, the Recreation Director’s computer.
-Shirley suggested possibly taking one of the computers from the computer lab downstairs for Brittni to use.
-The copy machine has one more payment, which is also in need of updating.
-Melissa will ask Tom to check with companies which he can buy used computers, copiers from which are like new.
-We need to register with Child Youth and Services
-The Summer Playground Program will have the Olympic theme. The structure of the program will be changing. There will be a variety of stations and each group will rotate with their counselor to each station.
-Karen is working on having a table set up at Town Meeting with various brochures for the programs
-Katie is working on creating disclaimers
-Bob is back to working his regular hours
-Brittni is on vacation
-Katie will be making some changes to Karen and Bob’s job descriptions. She will run these by the council
-Texas Hold ‘Em dates are March 11,18,25 April 14,15,22 and May 6,13,20, all at Lochmere Country Club
-Kathy will be coming in this week to update Katie’s new computer for the website
-The roof has been doing okay
-We need to make sure the gas meter gets covered in future winters. The Fire Dept was here during vacation week because the meter was froze
-Angela Hutchinson has some issues with the Pines and is responding by trying to bar us from use of the baseball field. She apparently is taking it to the Northfield Selectmen

Recreation Director's Report:

-Brittni is on vacation. Katie supplied the following report. -Donations for the Breakfast: BJ’s $50, Shaws $20, Hannaford $20
Tilt’n Diner eggs, bacon, pancake mix, creamer
-Yoga and Belly dancing classes starting up
-Working on trips to Franklin Falls Dam for the Summer Program, they will help with grants for the busing

President's Report:

-Town Meetings Northfield 9:00am; Tilton 8:00am
-Community groups need to use the facility during regular business hours or pay an hourly rate for supervisor coverage, to begin June 1st. We need to set specific operating hours

Secretary's Report:

-The minutes will be archived on the website for 3 years

Building Committee:

Program Committee:
-Workers should be at the Pines at 6:30 for the Easter Breakfast
Publicity Committee:
-
Personnel Committee:
-Katie will run changes to job descriptions by the council
-Need to look at whose reviews are due
Finance/Budget Committee:
-The committee will meet to finalize budget after Saturday’s Town Meetings
Selectmen's Meetings:
-Katie will be attending the upcoming meeting

-Have not heard from Brian Jarvis. Rose will email Bryan Mango and ask him for an estimate on the fire alarm system
