Tilton-Northfield Recreation Council
Board Meeting Minutes
February 11, 2008

Those Present: Shirley Curdie, Dorene Tilton, Rose-Marie Welch, Katie Duffey, Brittni Stewart

Meeting called to order.

The minutes of the January monthly meeting were accepted.

Financial Report:

-No financial report
-New accounting practices are working well.

Executive Director's Report:

-Katie has received some quotes for fixing the roof
-Brian Jarvis gave an estimate for the fire alarm system
-A UNH student is organizing basketball and volleyball tournaments for Old Home Day
-A Den Brae golf tournament is being organized with Sanbornton Recreation for sometime around August
-Angela Hutchinson asked us about putting up a sign at the baseball field. The council felt that allowing use of the facility was donation enough
-A Trip & Adventure Camp is being planned for the Summer Program. It would cost $150 per week, with 2 weeks of trips and 2 weeks of adventure. There would be a maximum of 13 participants

Recreation Director's Report:

-Letters have gone out for the Easter Breakfast. BJ’s has already responded with a donation. Due to past issues with Tilton McDonald’s, Brittni will approach Franklin McDonald’s for a sausage donation
-Skating is going well. The rolling storage bin was located.
-Waiting to hear from Nintendo regarding the Wii tournament

President's Report:

-Due to scheduling issues, the Budget Committee may need to have a Tilton member. Katie and Rose-Marie did not make it to the Northfield Budget Hearing because they got tied up at the Tilton Budget Hearing, both being scheduled for the same night
-Both towns are level funding

-April 11th was selected for Candy Bar Bingo Family Night

Old Business:
-Katie and Brittni will be doing Texas Hold “Em on February 25th. Will need someone for the April 14th date
New Business:
-The scoreboard at Southwick School is broken. The council agreed to look into purchasing a portable scoreboard which we would be willing to leave at Southwick, but we would not be willing to try to fix the old one.
-Town Meetings are March 14th
